Whether you're driving a full EV or a diesel van near payload limits, knowing the weight of your van racking system matters. That’s why we’ve broken down the average weights across our standard units, shelves, drawer options, and full install estimates — to help you configure smarter.
🔩 Standard Unit Weights

Standard 1200mm Unit: 22 kg

Wheel Arch 1200mm Unit: 25 kg
All units are built using strong but efficient 12mm hardwood ply, precision CNC cut. Custom builds and Pro Unique SETs can upgrade to 12mm birch ply, offering a smoother finish and slightly higher density.

Small Wheelbase (SWB) / Standard Roof / 14 Shelves Only: ~100 kg

Long Wheelbase (LWB) / Standard Roof / 14–18 Shelves: ~125 kg

Full-Length Installs (10-sheet builds): 200–250 kg
Note: We offer a weight-saving cut pattern that reduces ~0.5 kg per 1200 unit through strategic CNC grooves.

Each drawer is built for durability add any drawer set on a SH3 shelf, these come standard with our Pro Unique Range.

Our drawers are unique. Each shelf base can become a drawer with our flexible design system. This is a weight-saving solution that lets you achieve a full drawer install without excess bulk or unnecessary fittings. It's something that's often overlooked — and one of the best things about how we design our racking.

We give you the data to configure your van confidently. Want to keep total install weight under 150 kg? Stick with 2–3 units, standard shelves, and limit drawer use. Need maximum storage? Plan for 200–250 kg with tall units and mixed drawers.
